Rikshal Dayal, a 30-year-old from Wailevu, Labasa, has taken a significant step in his professional journey by launching his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town. The firm officially opened its doors on Thursday, following an investment of $10,000 to establish its office at Savilla House, Jaduram Street, shop number 14.

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, Mr. Dayal spent six years gaining valuable experience at Sarju Prasad Esquire before venturing out on his own. As the first lawyer in his family, he expressed a long-held aspiration to create a firm that would serve the local community.

“I am aware of the competitive nature of the legal field in Labasa, but I have confidence in my capability to deliver exceptional service,” Mr. Dayal stated. He emphasized that every business comes with risks, and he is prepared to face the challenges ahead.

With ongoing discussions about limited job opportunities in Labasa, Mr. Dayal encourages others to harness their skills and talents by starting their own businesses. He highlighted the rapid growth of Labasa Town and the increasing need for new entrepreneurs in the area.

Gratitude was extended to his family, wife, and in-laws for their support during the establishment of his law firm. The office will operate Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12 pm, initially staffed by one administrative employee.

This story serves as an inspiring reminder that entrepreneurship is accessible at any age, and with determination and support, individuals can pursue their dreams, contributing positively to their communities.
