17-year-old Ibraheem Afazal, an attacker for the Digicel Fiji Junior Bula Boys, was named Player of the Match after an outstanding performance against Vanuatu in the OFC U-19 Men’s Championship in Samoa.
Afazal, who plays for Apia Leichhardt club in Sydney, Australia, netted two goals and assisted in Fiji’s other goals, leading to a commanding 6-1 victory over Vanuatu and securing a spot in the semifinals for his team.
The young forward has consistently excelled under the guidance of coach Marika Rodu. His effective partnership with Captain Penisoni Tirau in the forward line enhances Fiji’s scoring capability in the tournament.
