Mosese Tuimatai, a recipient of the Baton of Honour from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, emphasized the importance of living with discipline for long-term benefits. The 18-year-old from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, reflected on a lesson his father imparted to him during his childhood.
Surprised by the announcement of his award, Mosese noted that he is the first in his family to complete Year 13. He stressed the significance of listening to parents and highlighted how the cadet training program instills self-discipline in students, preparing them for future challenges. He expressed gratitude towards the teachers and the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces for their role in this training.
Mosese aspires to become a marine engineer and thanked God for helping him reach this milestone. He acknowledged the unwavering support of his family, stating that receiving the Baton of Honour was an unexpected honor that filled him with happiness and gratitude.
