Aanvi Prasad, a dedicated student from Lautoka Central Primary School, has emerged as one of the highest achievers in the 2024 Fiji Eighth Year Examination, scoring an impressive 491 marks out of a possible 500. Her remarkable performance is attributed to her unwavering commitment, sacrifices, and hard work throughout the academic year.
Reflecting on her journey, Aanvi stated, “It was my dream to be the highest scorer, and I sacrificed for it.” She elaborated on her methodical approach, which included creating timetables to manage her schoolwork effectively. Despite facing challenges, especially from peers who doubted her potential, Aanvi remained determined. “Sometimes it made me lose hope, but I am thankful to my parents and teachers for encouraging me that anything is possible,” she noted.
Her father, Ronil Prasad, expressed immense pride in his daughter’s accomplishments, recognizing the investment they made in her education. “It was a great investment that we as parents made, and we have seen the fruit of it,” he said, highlighting the joy of witnessing their child’s success.
Aanvi has future aspirations to attend Natabua High School, where she aims to build on her impressive academic achievements. Interestingly, she shares this top score with Viola Ravutubananitu from Tagitagi Sangam School, also achieving 491 marks.
This inspiring story of hard work and perseverance not only showcases Aanvi’s success but also underscores the importance of family support and education in nurturing young talent. It serves as a reminder that dreams are attainable through dedication and resilience, and can motivate others in their academic pursuits.
In a positive light, this achievement reinforces the idea that with the right mindset and support, students can overcome challenges and excel, fostering a culture of success in education across Fiji.
