Aanvi Prerna Prasad has achieved an impressive score of 491 in the Fiji Eighth Year Examination, marking a significant accomplishment for both her and Lautoka Central Primary School. As the head girl, Aanvi excelled in her subjects, earning outstanding grades—98 in English, 96 in Mathematics, 100 in Basic Science, 99 in Healthy Living, and 98 in Social Science.
Expressing her joy, Aanvi remarked on the pride she has brought to her parents, particularly thanking her father, Ronil Prasad, for his support in her exam preparations. She also credited her class teacher, Mrs. Iva, for her encouragement and belief in her abilities, which motivated Aanvi to wake up at 4 a.m. to adhere to her study timetable.
Despite the challenges she faced, Aanvi’s faith in herself and a higher power played a crucial role in her success. Looking ahead, the 13-year-old plans to continue her education at Natabua High School and has aspirations of becoming a pilot or an astronaut.
A total of 18,968 students participated in this examination across 712 centers. The Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, announced a pass rate of 69 percent this year, an improvement from the 67 percent recorded in 2023. He extended his congratulations to all students, teachers, and parents for their hard work and commitment.
