Aanvi Prasad, a dedicated student from Lautoka Central Primary School, has emerged as one of the top scorers in the 2024 Fiji Eighth Year Examination, achieving an impressive 491 out of 500 marks. Reflecting on her success, Aanvi expressed that the commitment, sacrifices, and diligent study habits she maintained throughout the year were instrumental in reaching this milestone.

In her pursuit of excellence, Aanvi meticulously planned her study schedule and remained steadfast in her goal to be the highest scorer. She noted, “It was my dream to be the highest scorer, and I sacrificed for it.” Despite facing discouragement from peers who deemed such an achievement unattainable, she found motivation in the support of her parents and teachers, who consistently encouraged her belief that anything is possible.

Her father, Ronil Prasad, shared his pride in his daughter’s accomplishments, recognizing it as a testament to the investments they made in her education. He stated, “I am a proud dad… We have seen the fruit of it,” highlighting the joyful feeling parents experience when their children succeed.

Aanvi plans to continue her academic journey at Natabua High School next year, aiming for further achievements. In addition to Aanvi, Viola Ravutubananitu from Tagitagi Sangam School in Ba also achieved a remarkable score of 491 marks, showcasing the caliber of students across Fiji.

This story serves as an inspiring reminder of how hard work, persistence, and a supportive environment can lead to exceptional accomplishments.
