Young Lawyer Starts Business to Serve His Hometown: A New Chapter in Labasa’s Growth

Rikshal Dayal, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from Wailevu, Labasa, has taken a significant step in his career by opening his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town. The firm officially opened on Thursday and is located at Savilla House, Jaduram Street, shop number 14. Mr. Dayal invested $10,000 to establish his office.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, he gained six valuable years of experience working for Sarju Prasad Esquire before venturing out on his own. Mr. Dayal, who is the first lawyer in his family, expressed his long-standing dream of establishing a law firm that caters to the needs of his community.

Despite acknowledging the competitive nature of the legal field, Mr. Dayal is confident in his ability to deliver exceptional service. He emphasized the reality that starting a business involves risks but stated that he is fully prepared to face these challenges. He also encouraged others in Labasa, where many have expressed concerns over job availability, to consider entrepreneurship as a viable path to success.

Recognizing the rapid growth of Labasa Town, Mr. Dayal underscored the necessity for new entrepreneurs in the area. He expressed gratitude to his family, wife, and in-laws for their support during the establishment of his business. His office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 12 PM.
