As the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues, the Digicel Fiji Young Kulas are gaining important insights from their matches, according to midfielder Talei Moodie.
Moodie expressed that competing at this level of soccer has been a significant challenge. “This is our first appearance here, so it was expected that we would be challenged in new ways. It’s a really good learning experience, and I believe it will motivate us moving forward,” she said.
In their recent match against Canada, which ended in a 9-0 defeat, Head Coach Angelina Chua praised her team for their determination and bravery, particularly in the second half. “We regroup; we always want to improve from the last game,” Chua commented. “We play football to score goals, so that will still remain our objective.”
Looking ahead, the Young Kulas are preparing to take on France in their final tournament match on Saturday.
