The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas have concluded a training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra as they gear up for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia this August.
The week-long camp, which included 19 players, emphasized skill enhancement and team cohesion. Under the guidance of coach Angeline Chua, the Young Kulas engaged in rigorous training sessions, including two competitive matches.
In their first match, they faced the Future Matildas and suffered a 10-0 defeat. They also played against Canberra Olympic, where they lost narrowly with a score of 2-0. Despite these setbacks, the matches were crucial in evaluating the team’s preparedness and offered essential experience against strong competition.
Now back in Fiji, the Young Kulas are continuing their training and will soon head to the U.S. and Costa Rica for further camp activities and matches.
