Young Kulas Gear Up for Redemption Against France

After enduring two heavy defeats at the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup, head coach Angeline Chua remains hopeful that the team will rebound and show improvement in their next match against formidable opponents, France.

The Young Kulas recently faced a tough loss, falling 9-0 to Canada. However, Chua views this as an opportunity for growth. She highlights the importance of extracting positive lessons from every game to support the team’s development.

“We will regroup and aim to improve with each game,” expressed Coach Chua with confidence. Despite the scoreline, she praised the players’ performance in the second half against Canada, during which they only conceded two goals.

Midfielder Talei Moodie shared Chua’s perspective, recognizing the difficulties of competing at this higher level and stressing the significance of learning from each match. “This is our first appearance here, so it was anticipated that we would be tested in new ways,” Moodie stated. “It’s a valuable learning experience, and I believe it will inspire us moving forward.”

Fiji is set to take on France at 1 PM tomorrow.
