As the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues, the Digicel Fiji Young Kulas are gaining important insights with each match, as noted by midfielder Talei Moodie.
“This is another level in the soccer world,” Moodie commented on the team’s performance. “This is our first appearance here, so it was expected that we would be challenged in new ways. It’s a really good learning experience, and I believe it will motivate us moving forward.”
Although the team faced a difficult defeat against Canada, losing 9-0, Head Coach Angelina Chua praised her players for their determination and bravery, particularly during the second half.
“We regroup; we always want to improve from the last game,” Chua said. “We play football to score goals, so that will still remain our objective.”
Looking ahead, the Young Kulas are preparing to take on France in their final tournament match on Saturday.
