Young Kulas Embrace Tough Lessons at FIFA U-20 World Cup

As the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues, the Digicel Fiji Young Kulas are gaining important insights from each match, according to midfielder Talei Moodie.

Moodie expressed that the competition has presented a new level of challenges. “This is our first appearance here, so it was expected that we would be challenged in new ways,” she said. “It’s a really good learning experience, and I believe it will motivate us moving forward.”

Despite suffering a heavy 9-0 defeat to Canada, Head Coach Angelina Chua praised her team’s courageous effort, particularly in the second half of the match. “We regroup, we want to improve always from the last game,” Chua remarked. “We play football to score goals, so that will still remain our objective.”

Looking ahead, the Young Kulas are preparing to take on France in their final tournament match on Saturday.
