Alexandra Tikomaitoga, a young entrepreneur, is making waves with her handmade crafts at the Flea Market in Suva. After completing her studies at Baulevu High School, she decided to take a short break before pursuing her university education. Instead, she chose to explore her passion for crafting by establishing her own business.

Her stall prominently features a variety of handmade products, including beautifully crafted traditional items like mats and woven baskets. Alexandra demonstrates remarkable dedication by continuously learning her craft while running her business, and she has plans to expand it further as time goes by.

Currently, she operates her stall at a designated table in the market, where she sells her products, which include high-quality mats and traditional items sought after by visitors from Australia, New Zealand, and local customers.

Alexandra’s business not only provides her with a source of income but also offers significant support for her family, generating an estimated $500 weekly, which is a considerable amount for her household. This success illustrates that hard work and creativity can yield rewarding results.

Furthermore, Alexandra emphasizes that while not everyone might have ideal circumstances, there are numerous opportunities for everyone to succeed by utilizing their unique skills and abilities.
