Rikshal Dayal, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from Wailevu, Labasa, has launched his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey. The firm officially opened on Thursday and is located at Savilla House, Jaduram Street, shop number 14. Mr. Dayal invested $10,000 to establish his practice, demonstrating his commitment to serving his community.
After earning a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, Mr. Dayal honed his legal skills over six years working with Sarju Prasad Esquire. As the first lawyer in his family, he has always aspired to create a law firm that caters to the needs of his hometown. “While I am fully aware of the competitive environment and other law firms around, I believe I have the ability to provide the best service,” he stated confidently.
Understanding that any business venture comes with inherent risks, Mr. Dayal is prepared to face challenges head-on. He encourages others in Labasa, especially those who feel job opportunities are limited, to consider starting their own businesses and leveraging their skills and talents. He noted that Labasa Town is rapidly growing and requires new entrepreneurs to contribute to its development.
Mr. Dayal expresses gratitude to his family, wife, and in-laws for their support in launching his law firm. His office will operate Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12 pm, employing one administrative staff member.
This story is a testament to the belief that age should not be a barrier to pursuing one’s dreams. Mr. Dayal’s success serves as an inspiration for young people, showcasing that with determination, hard work, and a vision, anyone can turn their aspirations into reality. The growing need for business initiatives in Labasa is a promising indicator of potential economic growth in the area, as entrepreneurial spirit continues to thrive.
