Sixteen-year-old Annie May from Savusavu FC has been appointed as the captain of the Digicel Fiji Junior Kulas for the upcoming OFC U-16 Women’s Championship. She will be assisted by vice-captain Ulamila Rasovsova as the team gets ready for the tournament, which begins this Sunday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Teams from Samoa, New Zealand, Tonga, Cook Islands, Tahiti, and Solomon Islands have already arrived in Fiji and are acclimatizing in preparation for the competition. Meanwhile, the arrival of the New Caledonia team has been delayed due to flight issues, but they are expected to join the other teams soon.

Coached by Marika Rodu, the Fiji squad will take on Tonga in their opening match of the championship this Sunday at 3 pm.
