Dedication and hard work have led to remarkable success for Aanvi Prasad, who emerged as one of the top scorers in the 2024 Fiji Eighth Year Examination. The Year 8 student from Lautoka Central Primary School achieved an impressive score of 491 out of 500 marks. She credits her success to the sacrifices and unwavering commitment she made throughout the academic year.

“I had a dream of being the highest scorer, and I worked very hard for it,” Aanvi stated. She outlined how she organized her study routine by setting timely schedules and remained focused on her academic pursuits. All her hard work was aimed at achieving top marks in her exams, and she expressed her happiness in reaching her goal.

At just 13 years old, the head girl acknowledged that her competitors posed a significant challenge. “They often told me it was impossible to secure the top mark in the final examination, which sometimes made me doubt myself. However, I am grateful to my parents and teachers for their encouragement, reminding me that anything is possible,” she shared.

Aanvi’s father, Ronil Prasad, expressed immense pride in his daughter’s achievement. “As a parent, I feel a great sense of pride. The investment we made in her education has obviously paid off, and experiencing such triumph from our children is truly a wonderful feeling,” he remarked.

Looking toward the future, Aanvi plans to enroll at Natabua High School next year. Notably, she shares her esteemed position with Viola Ravutubananitu, a student from Tagitagi Sangam School in Ba, who also scored 491 marks.

This inspiring story reflects the potential of young students when backed by familial support and their own determination. It serves as an encouraging reminder that with dedication and resilience, students can achieve their academic dreams, overcoming challenges along the way.

Overall, Aanvi’s achievement not only highlights her personal success but also illustrates the positive impact parental encouragement and a structured approach to learning can have on students’ performances in exams.
