Aanvi Prerna Prasad has achieved remarkable success in the Fiji Eighth Year Examination, scoring an impressive 491 marks across English and her best four subjects. As the head girl of Lautoka Central Primary School, Aanvi’s results include outstanding scores: 98 in English, 96 in Mathematics, 100 in Basic Science, 99 in Healthy Living, and 98 in Social Science.
Expressing her joy, Aanvi shared her happiness in making her parents proud. She credited her father, Ronil Prasad, for his support during her exam preparations, and also recognized her class teacher, Mrs. Iva, for her encouragement. Aanvi committed to a rigorous study schedule, waking as early as 4 a.m. to adhere to her timetable, and although she sometimes doubted her ability to achieve such high marks, she attributed her success to divine guidance.
Looking ahead, the 13-year-old has plans to enroll at Natabua High School for Year 9 and aspires to pursue a career as either a pilot or an astronaut. In total, 18,968 students sat for the examination at 712 centers, with the Fiji Ministry of Education reporting a 69 percent pass rate, an improvement from 67 percent in 2023. Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro congratulated all students, teachers, and parents for their dedication and hard work.
This story is not only a testament to Aanvi’s individual determination and achievements but also highlights the continuous improvement in educational outcomes in Fiji, inspiring many young learners to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.
