Young Achiever Aims for the Sky with Impressive Exam Scores

Aanvi Prerna Prasad has achieved a remarkable milestone by scoring 491 in the Fiji Eighth Year Examination, making her one of the standout students from Lautoka Central Primary School. As the head girl, Aanvi excelled in her studies, receiving impressive marks: 98 in English, 96 in Mathematics, 100 in Basic Science, 99 in Healthy Living, and 98 in Social Science.

Reflecting on her achievement, Aanvi expressed her joy at making her parents proud, particularly thanking her father, Ronil Prasad, for his support during her exam preparations. She also credited her class teacher, Mrs. Iva, for her encouragement and belief in Aanvi’s potential. The young scholar attributed her success to hard work and divine guidance, as she followed a disciplined study schedule, often waking up as early as 4 a.m. to prepare.

Looking ahead, the 13-year-old plans to enroll at Natabua High School for Year 9, with dreams of becoming a pilot or an astronaut in the future.

In a broader context, the Education Minister, Aseri Radrodro, announced that this year’s examination saw 18,968 students participate across 712 centers, with an overall pass rate of 69 percent, improving from last year’s 67 percent. He congratulated all students, teachers, and parents for their efforts.
