Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, effective from November 1, 2024. The news was confirmed by Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada, who stated that Karan plans to embark on a career in national and international development with an international organization based in Fiji. Karan has dedicated over 20 years to the Fijian Government, holding various senior roles, including serving as High Commissioner to India, as well as Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Sugar Industry.
