Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, effective from November 1, 2024. This decision was confirmed by Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada, who stated that Karan plans to pursue a career in national and international development with an international organization based in Fiji. Karan has dedicated over 20 years to the Fijian Government in various senior roles. His experience includes serving as the High Commissioner to India and as Permanent Secretary for multiple departments, including the Office of the Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Sugar Industry.
