Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, which will take effect on November 1, 2024. Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada confirmed that Karan plans to transition to a role in national and international development with an international organization based in Fiji. Karan has had a distinguished career, serving the Fijian Government for over 20 years in various senior roles, including High Commissioner to India and Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Sugar Industry.
