Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and the Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, effective November 1, 2024. Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada confirmed that Karan will be transitioning to a career in national and international development with an international organization based in Fiji. Karan has dedicated over 20 years to the Fijian Government, holding various senior positions, including High Commissioner to India and Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, as well as Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and the Sugar Industry.
