A total of 19,359 Year 8 students are scheduled to take the Fiji Year Eight Examination today at 717 centers. Acting Minister for Education and Minister for Fisheries and Forests, Alitia Bainivalu, emphasized that this exam not only assesses knowledge and skills but also reflects hard work and dedication.
Bainivalu acknowledged that preparing for the exam can bring a mix of emotions such as excitement and anticipation. She encouraged students to have faith in their preparation, highlighting that this examination is merely one phase of their educational journey.
Additionally, Assistant Minister for Education Iliesa Vanawalu urged students to believe in their capabilities and to maintain a calm and confident attitude during the exam. He stressed the importance of resilience and determination, advising Year 8 students to stay focused.
Both Bainivalu and Vanawalu appealed to parents, guardians, and teachers to offer necessary support to help students concentrate during this vital time.
