Today, 19,359 Year 8 students are taking the Fiji Year Eighth Examination at 717 centers. Acting Minister for Education and Minister for Fisheries and Forests, Alitia Bainivalu, emphasized that the exam reflects not just knowledge and skills but also the dedication and effort put in by the students. She acknowledged that preparation for the exam can bring about a mix of emotions such as excitement and nerves, encouraging students to have faith in their studies and remember that this exam is merely one step in their educational path.
Additionally, Assistant Minister for Education Iliesa Vanawalu advised students to have confidence in their abilities and to maintain a calm attitude during the examination. He highlighted the importance of resilience and determination, urging Year 8 students to keep their focus. Both ministers have appealed to parents, guardians, and teachers to provide crucial support, ensuring that students can fully concentrate during this important time.
