The Education Ministry has announced a pass rate of 86% for Year 13 students this year, a slight drop from the 91% recorded in 2023. Despite this decrease, Education Minister Aseri Radrodro commended several schools for their outstanding improvements in results. Notably, Adi Cakobau School improved its pass rate from 97% to 98%, and Vunisea Secondary made a significant jump from 83% to 97%.

Furthermore, ten secondary schools celebrated a perfect 100% pass rate. These schools include Nadarivatu Secondary, Nilsen High, Tavua District Secondary, Ratu Finau Secondary, South Taveuni Secondary, Nasesevia Secondary, Valebasoga Secondary, Duavata Secondary, Rewa Secondary, and Jai Narayan College.

Minister Radrodro also urged parents and guardians to continue supporting students as they embark on their future academic endeavors or career pursuits.

This year’s results reflect both challenges and successes, highlighting the resilience of students and teachers alike. Engaging parents in the educational process remains crucial for continued student development and achievement.

Overall, while the slight drop in pass rates may raise concerns, the notable enhancements in individual school performances and the encouragement from the Education Ministry signal a commitment to improvement in the education sector.
