The Yatule Resort and Spa at Natadola Beach is poised to officially reopen on Monday after a significant $10 million renovation.
A recent visit by the Tourism Fiji team showcased their appreciation for the resort’s upgraded look. Brent Hill, the chief executive officer of Tourism Fiji, commended the transformation led by managing director Damend Goundar and expressed enthusiasm for the grand reopening on September 9.
Hill emphasized that such renovations indicate a bright future for Fiji’s tourism industry, appealing to both local and international investors. He noted that these investments not only generate employment opportunities but also foster growth across supporting sectors, underscoring the confidence investors have in Fiji’s tourism.
Goundar announced that the resort is fully booked for September and expressed enthusiasm for hosting “Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening,” an event featuring prominent figures in the tourism sector. Key participants will include Deputy Prime Ministers and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica, who will discuss significant trends and opportunities within the industry.
The resort’s staff, who were temporarily assigned to other sister properties during the renovations, are set to return in preparation for the reopening.
