Yatule Resort Unveils $10 Million Makeover for Grand Reopening

The Yatule Resort and Spa at Natadola Beach will officially reopen on Monday after undergoing a $10 million renovation. A recent visit by Tourism Fiji’s team highlighted their appreciation for the resort’s new look.

Brent Hill, the chief executive officer of Tourism Fiji, praised the transformation led by managing director Damen Goundar and expressed anticipation for the official opening on September 9. He noted that such investments signal a positive outlook for Fiji’s tourism sector, attracting interest from both local and international investors.

Hill emphasized that these investments generate job opportunities and bolster growth in related industries, underscoring the confidence that investors have in Fiji’s tourism potential. Goundar mentioned that the resort is fully booked for September and expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event, ‘Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.’

This event will host prominent figures from the tourism industry, including Deputy Prime Ministers and Finance Minister Biman Prasad, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Viliame Gavoka, and Trade Minister Manoa Kamikamica, who will discuss significant trends and new opportunities in the sector. The resort’s staff, who were temporarily assigned to sister properties during the renovations, are preparing to return as the reopening approaches.
