The Yatule Resort and Spa, situated on Natadola Beach, is ready to officially reopen on Monday after undergoing a significant $10 million renovation.
The team from Tourism Fiji, who recently toured the updated property, praised its modernized look.
Brent Hill, the CEO of Tourism Fiji, commended the efforts of Damend Goundar and his team for their outstanding transformation of the resort, eagerly anticipating the official opening on September 9.
Hill noted that such projects indicate a bright future for Fiji’s tourism sector, drawing interest from both local and international investors. He emphasized that investments in the industry not only generate employment but also promote growth in related sectors, showcasing investors’ confidence in Fiji’s tourism.
Goundar, the resort’s managing director, revealed that the property is fully booked for September and expressed enthusiasm about hosting the event ‘Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.’
This gathering will feature prominent figures from the tourism industry, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica, who will explore key trends and new opportunities within the sector.
The resort’s staff, who had been temporarily assigned to sister properties during the renovation, are set to return as preparations for the reopening continue.
