The Yatule Resort and Spa, situated on Natadola Beach, is preparing for its official reopening on Monday after undergoing a significant $10 million renovation.
Tourism Fiji’s team recently visited the resort and praised its upgraded appearance. Brent Hill, the chief executive officer of Tourism Fiji, commended the efforts of managing director Damen Goundar and his team for the remarkable transformation, expressing anticipation for the official opening scheduled for September 9.
Hill emphasized that such developments illustrate the robust future of Fiji’s tourism sector, appealing to both domestic and international investors. He pointed out that investments in tourism create job opportunities and boost growth in associated industries, showcasing the confidence that investors have in Fiji’s tourism potential.
Goundar revealed that the resort is fully booked for September and expressed enthusiasm about hosting the upcoming event titled ‘Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.’ This event will include influential figures in the tourism sector, such as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica, who will share insights on key trends and emerging opportunities within the industry.
Staff members, who were temporarily assigned to sister properties during the renovation, are expected to return as the resort approaches its grand reopening.
