The Yatule Resort and Spa, located on Natadola Beach, is preparing for its grand reopening on Monday after undergoing a $10 million renovation. The Tourism Fiji team recently toured the upgraded property and expressed their enthusiasm for its revitalized look.
Brent Hill, the CEO of Tourism Fiji, commended the transformation led by managing director Damen Goundar and his team, anticipating the official opening on September 9. He emphasized that such developments signal a bright future for Fiji’s tourism sector, attracting investments both domestically and internationally.
Hill noted that these investments not only generate jobs but also foster growth in ancillary industries, highlighting investor confidence in Fiji’s tourism potential. Goundar reported that the resort is fully booked for September, expressing eagerness for the upcoming event titled ‘Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.’
This event will host prominent figures from the tourism sector, including Deputy Prime Ministers and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica, who will discuss significant trends and new opportunities in the industry.
Staff members, who were reassigned to sister properties during the renovation, will be returning as the resort prepares for its reopening.
