The Yatule Resort and Spa, located on Natadola Beach, will officially reopen on Monday after undergoing a $10 million renovation.
A recent visit by the Tourism Fiji team highlighted their admiration for the resort’s new look. Brent Hill, the chief executive officer of Tourism Fiji, praised the efforts of managing director Damen Goundar and his team for their transformative work, expressing enthusiasm for the opening on September 9.
Hill noted that such investments are vital for the future of Fiji’s tourism industry, appealing to both local and international investors. He emphasized that these investments generate employment and promote growth in related sectors, illustrating the confidence investors have in Fiji’s tourism potential.
The resort’s managing director, Damen Goundar, revealed that the property is already fully booked for September and expressed excitement for the “Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening” event. This event will feature prominent figures in the tourism sector, including Deputy Prime Ministers and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica, who will share insights on key trends and opportunities within the industry.
Additionally, resort staff, who were temporarily assigned to sister properties during the renovation, are preparing to return as the opening day approaches.
