Yatule Resort Reopening: A $10 Million Transformation Awaits!

The Yatule Resort and Spa, situated on Natadola Beach, is preparing for its official reopening on Monday after undergoing a significant $10 million renovation.

The team from Tourism Fiji, who recently toured the renovated property, praised its new look. Brent Hill, the CEO of Tourism Fiji, expressed gratitude to Damen and his team for their impressive transformation and eagerly anticipated the opening on September 9.

Hill noted that such developments signal a bright future for Fiji’s tourism sector, attracting investment from both local and international sources. He emphasized that investments in the industry not only create job opportunities but also boost growth in related sectors, showcasing the confidence investors have in Fiji’s tourism potential.

Damen Goundar, the resort’s managing director, reported that the facility is completely booked for September and expressed excitement about the upcoming event, ‘Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.’ This gathering will feature prominent figures in the tourism sector, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica. They will share insights on pivotal trends and prospects within the industry.

The resort’s staff, who were temporarily assigned to associated properties during the renovations, are preparing to return as the resort readies itself for reopening.
