Yaro Rugby club has announced that their captain, Wame Ratuva, along with winger Tomasi Stark, will join the Fiji Airways men’s 7s team camp as they prepare for the upcoming HSBC Sevens World Series stop in Vancouver, Canada. Having made his debut at the Turnbull 7s tournament in October of last year, Ratuva has quickly established himself as a key figure in the team’s success.

Tomasi Stark, a dynamic 24-year-old winger, made his debut for Yaro Chiefs at the 2024 Vatukoula 7s and has since showcased his talents at the Coral Coast Fiji 7s, where he claimed the Jonah Lomu medal for scoring the most tries. His impressive performance highlights the potential he brings to the national team.

Both players represent their respective regions with pride; Ratuva hails from Vunavutu in Nadroga, while Stark is from Nasoqo, Naviti in Yasawa. Their inclusion in the national camp is not only a personal achievement but also a testament to the growth and development of rugby talent within the Yaro Rugby club. As they prepare for this exciting chapter in their careers, fans and supporters will undoubtedly be eager to see their impact on the international stage.
