Woman Arrested for Allegedly Running Illegal Liquor Business in Tacirua

A woman has been taken into custody for allegedly selling alcohol without a valid license in Tacirua. Officers from the Valelevu Police Station carried out a raid last night at a shop suspected of illegal liquor sales, during which they confiscated over 100 cans and bottles of alcoholic beverages. A 24-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and is currently being held as investigations proceed. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu emphasized that such illegal activities often lead to other crimes and that police operations aim to disrupt these unlawful markets.
