William Singe is set to headline the Bounty Stir It Up 2024 festival on September 28 at the Vou Hub on Denarau Road. Born Liam Anthony Singe on July 2, 1992, in Forestville, New South Wales, he has quickly emerged as a significant figure in the music industry, fusing R&B, pop, and reggae into a distinctive sound.
Growing up in a family with a strong musical background, Singe was motivated by his father, a singer and songwriter. He first ventured into music during a memorable audition for The X Factor Australia in 2011. Although he did not progress in that initial attempt, he returned to the show in 2012 and finished in third place as part of The Collective, a group that gained rapid popularity in the Australian music scene, according to event coordinator Onisimo Moi Vatuwaqa.
Singe embarked on a solo career in 2015 and began producing impressive cover tracks of popular songs by artists such as Justin Bieber, The Weekend, and Drake. His rendition of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” became a viral hit, amassing millions of views on YouTube and establishing him as a talented artist.
Over the years, Singe has built a substantial online presence, accumulating over 2.6 million YouTube subscribers and millions of followers across various social media platforms. In 2023, he released his debut album, “Where Do Birds Go At Night?”, which highlighted his artistic development.
His engaging melodies and heartfelt performances have led to collaborations with notable artists including Jonas Blue and Samantha Jade. Tickets for the festival are available at Coffee Hub locations in Lautoka, Nadi, and Suva, as well as online through TicketMax.
