Two schools from the western region have advanced to the under-18 semi-finals of the Vodafone Super Deans competition. Cuvu College and Ratu Navula College delighted their supporters with impressive performances in Suva.

Cuvu College achieved a narrow 23-22 victory against the strong Ratu Kadavulevu School, marking a significant upset. Meanwhile, Ratu Navula made a remarkable comeback in the second half to defeat Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School 16-10, ending their impressive run in the tournament.

Nasinu Secondary School was the first team to secure a spot in the semi-finals, narrowly beating Tailevu North College with a score of 17-13. Defending champions Queen Victoria School faced a fierce challenge from Marist Brothers High School in the final quarter-final match. Queen Victoria School managed to hold onto their lead, finishing with 13 points, while Marist could only muster six points from Saiasi Fuli’s kicks.

As a result, Nasinu will face Cuvu College in the first semi-final, while Queen Victoria School will compete against Ratu Navula College. The semi-finals are scheduled to take place in Suva next Saturday.
