Two schools from the western region have advanced to the under-18 semi-finals of the Vodafone Super Deans competition. Cuvu College and Ratu Navula College thrilled their supporters with strong performances in Suva.

Cuvu College pulled off a thrilling 23-22 victory against the highly-ranked Ratu Kadavulevu School, while Ratu Navula mounted a dramatic comeback in the second half to defeat Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School with a score of 16-10, ending the latter’s impressive run in the tournament.

The first team to secure a spot in the semi-finals was Nasinu Secondary School, which narrowly defeated Tailevu North College 17-13. Defending champions Queen Victoria School faced a tough challenge from Marist Brothers High School in the last quarter-final. Although Marist made a strong start with six points from Saiasi Fuli, QVS managed to maintain their lead and won the match.

As a result of these outcomes, Nasinu will face Cuvu College in the first semi-final, while Queen Victoria School will go up against Ratu Navula College. The semi-finals are set to take place in Suva next Saturday.
