Western Police Readiness Check Boosts Holiday Security

The police officers in the Western Division participated in an Operational Readiness Check this week, under the leadership of Divisional Police Commander Western, SSP Lakobo Vaisewa. This inspection aimed to ensure that the officers are fully equipped and prepared for the upcoming festive period.

During the checks, essential vehicles were scrutinized to guarantee they are in optimal working condition. Additionally, the officers reviewed roadblock equipment and tents to ensure heightened visibility along major traffic routes. Given that the cyclone season is currently active, the inspection also included assessing key disaster-response tools, such as ropes, chainsaws, and generators.

After the parade, SSP Vaisewa expressed confidence that the Western Division is well-prepared to maintain safety and security during the holiday season. This proactive approach reflects a commitment to public safety and highlights the importance of readiness in supporting community needs during the festivities. The community can feel assured that their local police force is taking extensive measures to ensure a secure environment for all.
