Pine landowners in the western region of Fiji will soon benefit from a health outreach program organized by Fiji Pine management. This initiative, spearheaded by Executive Chairman Ratu Rakuita Vakalalabure and the Board of Directors, highlights the company’s commitment to social responsibility.

The program aims to deliver crucial healthcare services, specifically targeting women’s health issues, to those living in remote areas. It will take place in Nabalabala Village, located in the interior of Ra Province, and will serve over 50 landowning units spread across various villages in Nalaba and Tokaimalo Districts, including coastal areas in Tikina Naiyalayala and up to Nadarivatu.

The outreach will extend to several villages, including Nayaulevu, Vunisea, Burelevu, Namara, Burenitu, Nailawa, Nausori, Nabalabala, and Maneyava, with nearby communities such as Raviravi, Vuniyaumunu, and Naivutu also included. This program is conducted in collaboration with health officials from Rakiraki and representatives from the Fiji Cancer Society’s Lautoka branch.

Originally launched in Bua, this initiative is set to continue tomorrow, November 6, 2024. Through such efforts, not only is healthcare made more accessible to pine landowners, but it also strengthens community ties and emphasizes the importance of women’s health, fostering a more healthy and informed population.

This outreach serves as a reminder of the positive impact that corporate social responsibility initiatives can have on local communities, especially in remote areas where access to healthcare is limited. It’s an encouraging step towards improving health and wellness in these communities.
