Over the weekend, multiple drug-related arrests were conducted for illegal possession and cultivation of controlled substances.

Additionally, ACP Driu mentioned that the suspect is under investigation for potential bribery, having allegedly offered money to a police officer at the time of his arrest.

Further arrests linked to white substances, also believed to be methamphetamine, occurred in Samabula and Sigatoka leading to the detention of four men.

Arrests concerning marijuana involved locations in Korovou, Tailevu, Lautoka, and Sigatoka, while a significant unlawful cultivation case was reported in Karoko, where more than 100 marijuana plants were confiscated.

Authorities are urging the public to report any suspected drug-related activities through Crimestoppers by calling 919 or 917.
