Weather Woes and Local Happenings: What You Need to Know Today!

**Weather Update:**
A trough of low pressure is making its way toward the country from the north, bringing clouds and showers that are expected to affect the northern and eastern regions from tomorrow. Presently, an easterly wind flow is dominant across the nation. Expect occasional showers in the Northern Division, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups, along with cloudy periods and some showers in the Navua, Suva, Nausori, Tailevu areas, as well as the inland regions of Serua, Namosi, Naitasiri, Ra, Rakiraki, Kadavu, and neighboring smaller islands. Other areas may remain fine, except for isolated afternoon or evening showers. Isolated thunderstorms and heavy rainfall could occur, raising the risk of flash flooding in low-lying areas. Winds are expected to be moderate to fresh, with moderate to rough seas.

**Community Events:**
There are a few community events happening today:

The Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) has announced several planned power outages today in various areas:

– **Senivono Road, Narere**: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
– **Veisari**: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (including parts of King’s Road, Veisari Settlement, and neighboring areas).
– **Savusavu**: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Belego).
– **Vuda, Lautoka**: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Sulu Street, and nearby areas).
– **Votualevu, Nadi**: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (parts of Votualevu and surrounding areas).
– **Wairuku**: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (part of the area).
– **Nanuku**: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (part of the area and Golden Point Resort).
