Weather Watch: Year 13 Exams Under Threat?

The Ministry of Education is closely monitoring the ongoing weather conditions and their potential effects on the Year 13 National Examinations, which are set to begin tomorrow.

Line Minister Aseri Radrodro stated that the ministry will issue timely updates to ensure the safety and welfare of all students and staff involved in the examinations.

Radrodro emphasized that they are keeping a vigilant eye on the situation, with updates to be provided based on guidance from the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO).

He urged parents and guardians to pay attention to weather updates and take necessary precautions to safeguard their children.

The ministry’s Disaster Risk Reduction team is actively observing the weather patterns.

Radrodro also called on Divisional and District officers to work in coordination with school leaders to secure all school environments and protect the students.

Furthermore, he reminded all school administrators to release students only to their parents or guardians when it is deemed safe.
