The Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, has issued a warning to the public regarding the dangers of leaving vehicles unattended with the keys in the ignition. This advice follows two incidents where vehicles were stolen after the keys were left inside.

ACP Driu emphasized that opportunistic criminals will take advantage of such situations, urging vehicle owners to exercise caution and secure their cars at all times. He stated, “Opportunists have no regard for anyone when they intend to commit a crime, and this also affects the families of victims if they are present in the vehicle.”

In response to reports of vehicle theft, ACP Driu mentioned that check points would be established to prevent stolen vehicles from being used in further criminal activities.
