Fijians are being advised to steer clear of the Walu Bay area due to an oil tank leak that authorities are currently addressing. The National Fire Authority has deployed officials to manage the situation, while police have set up cordons around the entry points of Walu Bay from both Suva and Lami.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Kasiano Vusonilawe, has urged the community to cooperate with the responding authorities to ensure safety as the containment efforts continue. The situation is under control, and officials are working hard to resolve the issue promptly.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and stay updated on the progressing situation as efforts are made to ensure the safety of the surrounding area.
