Wallis and Futuna Primary School is thrilled to take part in this year’s Fiji Primary School Athletics Tuckers Ice Cream Games. The event is set to occur over two days at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on November 28-29.
Patrick Bower, president of the Primary School Athletics Association, emphasizes the importance of these games, both at the district and national levels, in laying the groundwork for future representatives in various sports. “These games significantly benefit the participating students by fostering their success in sports,” Bower explained.
He noted that primary school athletics are essential for nurturing the future of national sports, inspiring children to pursue their dreams while cultivating a positive mindset and attitude toward competition. Bower is optimistic that Wallis and Futuna’s involvement will bring excitement and diversity to the tournament as the island nation has shown great enthusiasm to join the event.
This highlights a wonderful opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talents and could pave the way for future achievements in sports, not only for the students but also for the nation as a whole. The anticipation surrounding the games reflects a shared passion for athletics and the growth of upcoming talent in the region.
