Wallabies Shake-Up: Injuries Open Doors Ahead of Bledisloe Cup

Fiji-born winger Marika Koroibete will miss the upcoming Bledisloe Cup match for the Wallabies due to a wrist injury he sustained in last week’s narrow 31-28 defeat to the All Blacks in Sydney. The injury aggravated during the flight to New Zealand, causing increased swelling.

Koroibete’s absence has paved the way for Dylan Pietsch, who is set to make his first start for the Wallabies. Furthermore, Jake Gordon will also return to the starting scrumhalf position, taking over from Nic White, who played in Sydney.

These adjustments come as Australia aims to end a 23-year winless streak against New Zealand on their home turf.

The Wallabies’ lineup for Bledisloe II is as follows: Angus Bell, Matt Faessler, Taniela Tupou, Nick Frost, Jeremy Williams, Rob Valetini, Fraser McReight, Harry Wilson (c), Jake Gordon, Noah Lolesio, Dylan Pietsch, Hunter Paisami, Len Ikitau, Andrew Kellaway, and Tom Wright. The reserves include Brandon Paenga-Amosa, Isaac Kailea, Allan Alaalatoa, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Langi Gleeson, Tate McDermott, Ben Donaldson, and Josh Flook.
