Walesi Investigation Report Set to Unveil Major Spending Insights

Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica, announced that the highly anticipated report regarding the investigation of Walesi PTE Limited, conducted by the Office of the Auditor-General, is set to be released this week. In an interview with FijiLive, Kamikamica mentioned that the findings of the report will be presented to the Cabinet for evaluation before being submitted to Parliament for further discussion.

Depending on the report’s conclusions, it may also be referred to the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption for further investigation if necessary. Notably, it was revealed that a substantial investment of $125.6 million has been made since 2015 to establish and implement the satellite digital television platform.
