Wakaya Perfection is making significant strides in the United States by securing a live broadcast opportunity on a high-profile channel that reaches over 900 million households. Established by the late David Gilmour of Fiji Water and his business partner David Roth, the company continues to showcase Fijian products both domestically and internationally.

David M. Roth, co-owner and chief executive officer of Wakaya Perfection, has a longstanding connection with Fiji and expressed enthusiasm about the company’s products being featured on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) in the United States. HSN is accessible through cable, satellite, free-to-air, and digital live streaming, catering predominantly to an audience of about 83% women aged 25 to 66, with an average income exceeding $65,000.

Founded 45 years ago in St. Petersburg, Florida, HSN was the first television shopping network and remains a prominent platform for various products, with its top markets in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

Wakaya Perfection focuses on organic, kosher, and halal Fijian products, such as ginger and turmeric, aiming to market these globally with proper processing and packaging. Roth and Gilmour envisioned the growth of Fiji’s agricultural sector and the export of premium processed organic products, including kava and sea salt.

As part of its commitment to enhancing the agricultural landscape, the company is also exporting tea infused with Fiji-grown ginger and turmeric. Roth emphasized continued investment in both agriculture and tourism in Fiji, indicating that local farmers will benefit significantly from premium pricing and technical expertise offered by Wakaya Perfection.

Roth highlighted the potential for Fiji to carve out a niche in the international market by supplying organic products. He pledged his support for the development of Fiji’s agricultural sector through the export of high-quality produce.

This development presents a hopeful outlook for the Fijian economy, as it not only promotes local agriculture but also aims to elevate the standards and visibility of Fijian products on the global stage. The collaboration between Wakaya Perfection and local farmers could pave the way for a sustainable agricultural future that boosts livelihoods while highlighting Fiji’s rich natural resources.
