Former Melbourne Storm star Suliasi Vunivalu has been removed from the Queensland Reds roster for the upcoming 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season. After transitioning to rugby union, the seven-time capped Wallaby has faced challenges, primarily due to recurring injuries that have hindered his progress in the sport.
In light of his situation, it is now speculated that Vunivalu may be considering a move to France to play for a club in the prestigious French Top 14 division. This shift could potentially offer him a fresh start and new opportunities to revitalize his career.
On a positive note, the Queensland Reds have bolstered their squad by including fellow Wallaby Filipo Daugunu and loose forward Seru Uru, both of whom are set to contribute to the team’s ambitions in the upcoming season. The additions suggest a proactive approach towards building a competitive team, despite Vunivalu’s departure.
As the 2025 season approaches, fans will be keen to see how these changes will influence both Vunivalu’s future and the Reds’ performance on the field.
