Former Melbourne Storm star Suliasi Vunivalu will not be part of the Queensland Reds squad for the upcoming 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season. Since his transition to rugby union, the seven-time capped Wallaby has faced challenges primarily due to ongoing injuries that have hindered his performance and development within the sport.
There are speculations that Vunivalu may be considering a move to France, where he could potentially join a club in the Top 14 league. In contrast, fellow Wallaby Filipo Daugunu and loose forward Seru Uru have been named in the Reds’ 2025 squad, indicating a shift towards strengthening the team with available talent.
Despite the setback for Vunivalu, there is hope that this change in direction could lead him to a fresh start and renewed opportunities in France. His previous success in rugby league demonstrates his potential, and with a healthy body and the right environment, he may yet reclaim his form and contribute significantly on the field.
